The ideal morning ritual
There is nothing in this world that will allow you to level up more than having a strict, productive and organized morning ritual. If you have this, you can have anything.
First of all, you need to destroy the self-limiting belief that you are not a morning person, because we all are. Anyone can wake up early, with discipline.
Now let’s dive into my routine
Waking up
I wake up at 5am every morning. I typically charge my phone on my desk instead of my bedside table, that way it forces me to get out of bed to stop my alarm.
You do not have to wake up at 5am but doing so a few hours before leaving your house or starting to work allows you to charge yourself before giving your energy to others.
Hacking your brain
Upon waking up, your brainwaves are in what we call the theta frequency. This is the time when the subconscious part of your brain is the most responsive.
Knowing that your subconscious dictates 95% of your actions, you would ideally want your subconscious to be programmed in a way that will benefit you.
Consequently, this would be the ideal moment to fill your brain with the right content. This is the time where I will say out loud my affirmations and look at pictures that represent things I want to manifest in my life.
Prayer
I am Catholic, so I pray to the Trinity and the Virgin Mary. Wether you are Catholic or not, if you pray to God, here is how I organize my prayer:
I give my thanks to God and say what I am grateful for.
I talk to God about my goals and what I want to achieve on that specific day.
I ask for guidance and signs.
I pray for my loved ones.
Meditation
I do a 5 or 10 minutes meditation, depending on how much time I have on my hands.
Meditation to me is simply about focusing my mind on my breath. It has tremendously helped me in lengthening my attention span and focusing on one thing at a time.
Coffee
I make an iced coffee or iced matcha latte, depending on my mood. Because I workout so shortly after waking up, I sometimes am still sleepy.
The things that energize me during my early-morning workout : caffeine and house music.
Gym
I go in my home gym and typically do the same workouts. I do this abs workout and I really enjoy this booty workout too. It usually takes me around 45 minutes to complete. Working out in the morning really helps me start my day on the right foot.
Morning workouts make your brain produce a lot of dopamine and cortisol, inevitably putting you in the best of moods.
I then shower and do my skin care routine.
Breakfast
For breakfast, I’ll almost always make eggs as they are loaded with proteins. I also eat half or a full avocado as my dose of healthy fats and then I’ll eat small fruits for the antioxidants. Depending on how tired I am, I’ll either make another coffee or drink water.
I always listen to an educative podcast or an audiobook while making breakfast, question of setting my mind right for the day.
When I’m done, I get dressed, do my makeup and my hair. Even if I’m not going out, I’ll make sure I still look a minimum put-together
